How does Alpine boost its employer brand and create links between its teams based in France and the United Kingdom?

Background

Owned by the Renault brand, Alpine is a French car company specialized in sports and high performance cars. The brand is asserting itself in particular with its own Formula 1 team.

Alpine called on OuiLive to respond to the challenge of creating links and cohesion between teams, in particular by setting up teambuilding activities.

The start of the F1 season was the perfect opportunity to engage employees in a positive atmosphere. A challenge was designed over a period of 9 months to collectively support the two drivers. Esteban Ocon and Pierre Gasly. The 2,000 employees were invited to predict the position of their two drivers during the 22 Grand Prix of the F1 season.

A few days before the start of the race, the challenge participants enter their prediction. The goal: to collect as many points as possible for the final ranking

Bringing the challenge to life

One of the challenges with this challenge was to maintain a high level of commitment among employees during the 9 months of the challenge.

To answer this question, the Alpine teams were able to rely on the expertise of their Challenge Manager. The support of our project managers allowed the challenge to be divided into different stages but also an operational follow-up of the project and communication. From the calibration meeting to the assessment meeting (feedback), our teams continuously followed the established steps thanks to a retroplanning co-created with the Alpine teams.

Wordings, videos, visuals in the colors of Alpine, supporting documents and key data allowed the teams to communicate about the Challenge.Communications were broadcast before, during and after the challenges in order to inform, inspire and animate the events, while maintaining the commitment of the participants.Thanks to this collaboration, Alpine was able to offer its employees a challenge including quiz and forecasts to support the drivers throughout the 24 stages of the competition, while maintaining the commitment of the participants.Thanks to this collaboration, Alpine was able to offer its employees a challenge including quiz and forecasts to support the drivers throughout the 24 stages of the competition..

The challenge was fully adapted to specific needs and took place over 24 stages, including quizzes and predictions.

A successful challenge!

With a very high participation rate, almost 1,600 participants (out of 2,000 employees), and more than hundreds of thousands of points generated, the company is very happy with the engagement rate observed. This dynamic has contributed to strengthening cohesion between employees, which underlines the success of this challenge. As a sign of this success, Alpine offered a new challenge to its employees some time later on the occasion of Pink October.
